While working on getting this blog up and running, I haven't been as present on social media. I figured what better way to jump back into all of this than with a reading update! This stack was so heavy that I am surprised I got a photo that isn't crooked. It's also made me realize how many blue and yellow books I read this month 😅
So, here is a list of all the books I read in August, and a sneak peek at what is on my radar for September...
1. The True Love Experiment - Christina Lauren
If you have read 'The Soulmate Equation', then you likely already know Fizzy. This book was the perfect addition to that story and it was so fun to hear about Fizzy's life. I really loved the dual POV that these authors do so well. It was also full of romance genre love as Fizzy is a successful romance author.
2. Throne of Glass - Sarah J Maas
I don't have a post for this one yet!
I was so active about this one on my Instagram stories and when it came time to make a feed post, I couldn't think of anything else to say. I am a big fan of Sarah J. Maas' work and I have had this series on my TBR for a long time. There is just something so intimidating about the number of books in this series, but I finally worked up the courage to try it out.
I am so glad that I finally read this one, but I am also glad that I started with her other series 'A Court of Thornes and Roses' first. I will likely try and read one of this series' books per month so that I don't get sick of it, so look out for more of these reviews to come!
3. Ciao for Now - Kate Bromley
I absolutely adore Kate Bromley's books! I love the sweet but fiery characters, and the always dreamy settings! This book was no exception. Think 'Emily In Paris'...but Italy! This book has grumpy/sunshine characters, enemies to lovers, and lots of fashion!
4. Save What's Left - Elizabeth Castellano
This was a great last minute purchase for me! I picked it up on a whim while looking for something different for my summer reads and I am so glad I found this one. This book had tons of beach town vibes but didn't feel like your average beach read.
5. Same Time Next Summer - Annabel Monaghan
This one is for all the fans of Carley Fortune's 'Every Summer After' and Jenny Han's 'The Summer I Turned Pretty'! So many similarities in the plots of these books, but this one was also unique in its own way. Its one of those summer romance books that was easy and fun, and I did not want it to end!
6. The Honeymoon Crashers - Christina Lauren (The Unhoneymooners 1.5 - Audio)
This one had me laughing out loud! If you enjoyed The Unhoneymooners, you have to check out this novella/audio sequel!
7. The Five Star Weekend - Elin Hilderbrand
It isn't truly a book girl summer for me without a new Elin Hilderbrand book! I have read so many of hers that I have lost count. I loved every minute of this one! It was a good summer-ey read, and while I am sad I left this one on my shelf for so long, it ended up being a great one to end off my summer reads with! *Full review will be up on Instagram this week, so keep an eye out for that!*

And lastly, here is a sneak peek at some of the books on my September TBR! I also have 2 books for this stack that didn't make the picture because they just released: The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner and Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeny. I also have some upcoming reads I want to review, so I don't think I will get through most of these, but this is the pile I will be picking from.

If you have followed me for a while then you likely know that I have trouble sticking to a TBR stack. I love looking back at posts like these and comparing it to what I actually read. It always gives me a little laugh, so maybe we'll laugh together in the next wrap up 😋
Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts on them? What's on your September TBR?
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading!

cant wait to see what you read in September
