Shows I have Been Loving

Happy Sunday friends! This week I have been in a bit of a reading slump - party because of personal matters and partly, I think, due to having read so many 5 star reads so far this year! However, one thing I have been really into right now is Netflix.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that on Valentine's Day I was invited to an exclusive sneak peek at Bridgerton Season 3! I love Bridgeton, but I'll admit that its been too long since I've watched it, and I forgot more about the show than I thought. In this Netflix sneak peek, we got a Q&A with the cast, Shonda Rhimes (Producer), Julia Quinn (Author of the books), and Jess Brownell (Showrunner). They talked about all things Bridgerton, what we can expect from season 3, and we even got to see a clip of the opening scene for S3.

Here's the tea: I thought that this was the coolest thing when i got the invite from Netflix & BookSparks! The email I got made it sound so exclusive and made me think we were getting to see some of the show... buttttt then Netflix released all of the information and the clip of the show to the general public immediately after - so it wasn't that exclusive after all. I was hoping to get more of a glimpse into season three, but for now the minute long clip circulating socials will have to do.

That being said, I am fully ready to re-watch Bridgerton now in preparation for season 3 coming in May. I don't usually talk much on my platform about what I am watching because I am not a huge TV person. There is the occasional show that sucks me in though and then I need to binge the entire thing at once. I've been feeling like that this week, so to end my rambling, I wanted to share an insight into my favs with you!

What I am currently watching:

  • I am about to re-start Bridgerton from S1, E1 and I cannot wait! I have watched all of it that is out currently, but as I said, it has been a while.

  • Love Is Blind - I don't even know what season they are on but the newest season just released this week! They dropped 6 episodes, and you BET i binged it all in a few nights. Now I am impatiently awaiting next weeks episodes. If you have watched it too, DM me or drop a comment here and I would love to discuss!!

  • Vanderpump Rules - I got into this show last year when Scandoval happened and I immediately LOVED it. I never thought I would be a Bravo girlie, but here we are. I am just wrapping up the reunion episodes of season 8 and am desperately trying to avoid spoilers for the newest episodes (minus the obvious scandals).

What I want to watch next:

  • Along with my re-watch of Bridgerton, I want to get into the Queen Charlotte show they made. I was not super interested in it when it dropped, but after watching the Q&A, it sounds super important and interesting, so I definitely want to go back and watch that.

  • Newly released on Netflix is a limited series rom-com called One Day which is based on a book of the same name. I saw the trailer earlier this week and immediately added it to my to-watch list!

    • Side note, speaking of rom-coms... I have been wanting to go see Anyone But You (new movie in theaters now) but the cinema is so expensive...I am hoping so badly that it releases on streaming platforms soon! Have you seen it? Does it match the hype in your opinion?

  • Lastly, I need to get caught up on Sweet Magnolias! The 3rd season dropped in the summer and I completely forgot about it.

  • Honorable mention: Emily In Paris!! There is no set date yet when new episodes come out as season 4 just started filming, but I absolutely cannot wait. I am sure I will do a re-watch soon though.

Lastly, I want to share some all time comfort shows with you because these are shows that I am always re-watching in between the new and bingeable.

  • Gilmore Girls - I watched this for the first time back in maybe 2017? and I have loved it ever since. I will start it over the minute it becomes September 1st. Its not fall for me without this show.

  • Gossip Girl - I watched this also around the same time I first watched Gilmore Girls, and I just loved it. I was so sad that they took it off of Netflix, but we have been debating getting a Crave subscription for other things and (in Canada) Gossip Girl is not on there so hopefully I will re-watch it soon.

  • The Office - need I say more? One of my top favorite shows of all time. I could re-watch this a million times and never get bored.

I am sure there is WAY more that I am forgetting, but this is the vibes for me right now. Clearly, I am a Netflix fan, and I have watched most of their reality shows - and loved! so you can always add those to my list.

Let me know in the comments what you have been watching or are looking forward to!
