Wow, that was a long break... leave it to the summer romances to help get me back into reading (and reviewing) again!

I have been slowly but surely getting my reviews posted over on my instagram for the books I have been reading lately. Since most of them are new summer releases, I have had a few of you ask me for my summer reading recommendations. So, consider this your guide to bookcaebelle's summer reading recs!

Lets start with the books that are most likely to be at the front and center of your local bookstore... the new releases!

The following are out now, so start with these first:

~Just For The Summer - an 'am I the a-hole' reddit thread turned love story?

~Summer Romance - the title says it all! a romance with all sorts of summer vibes and some super cute pups to sweeten the deal!

~Paradise Problem - the fake dating trope from the queens of fake dating romance!

~This Summer Will Be Different - the best friends boyfriend trope that will completely transport you to a PEI vacation!

~Swan Song - Elin's last Nantucket summer novel, full of heart and sun-soaked drama!

~Mistakes We Never Made - a summer wedding turned coastal road trip makes for a fun second chance romance read!

~Funny Story - This one is not as full of summery-vibes as I hoped, but it was still really good! When 2 relationships fall apart because two of the spouses are best-friends turned lovers, the other two spouses are left coping with the betrayal and lean on each other for support.

~Summers at The Saint - a run down hotel, an evil brother-in-law, and a motley crew of characters!

This one is not out yet but I cannot wait to read:

~The Summer Pact - a group of friends re-uniting years later from a pact they made when they were younger. This book is full of love, grief, hope, and a summer in Capri, Italy!

Now, if you manage to get past the front of the store without going completely over budget, I have some more recommendations you'll find on the fiction shelves! These books aren't AS new but fit the summer vibes perfectly!

~Big Summer - a scenic summer wedding on cape cod for her ex-best friend and a potential summer romance blossoming. This book is full of family, friendship, and even some plus size representation!

~The Siren - this whole book felt like a sunburn... but in the best kind of way! This book is full of drama within the cast filming a movie on the Caribbean beach. As a hurricane brews trapping everyone on the island, the drama starts to unravel.

~Bad Summer People - a group of friends/families that vacation on the same island every summer come together and bring more baggage than just their carry-ons 👀 this one will have you on the edge of your seat with all of the gossip, scandals, and suspense!

~Lucky - what would you do if you had the winning lottery ticket, but couldn't cash it in? this one is a short read, perfect for a day at the beach or pool side!

~Malibu Rising - four famous siblings throw an end of summer party ending with their mansion home going up in flames. This one is family drama at its finest!

~Every Summer After - this one pulled on my Canadian heartstrings! A friends to lovers story meets a beautiful cottage on the lake in Northern Ontario - this one is an absolute MUST READ!

~The Block Party - the perfect summer mystery/suspense with lots of drama!

~Anything by Elin Hilderbrand - Elin Hilderbrand is who I would call the queen of beach reads! Her novels take place on Nantucket in the summer where the scenery is dreamy and the romance and drama are HOT! I recommend starting with Summer of '69 or 28 Summers.

~Beach Read - Emily Henry is also a great summer reading author, but this book is the summer it book! Perfect for a beach vacation read!
